PNW Gamers is a public forum and while we encourage a free flow of information and ideas on the forum, we also ask that you follow some basic rules. By using or participating on PNW Gamers, you agree to the Rules stated below:

Vision

PNW Gamers is an online console/computer gaming enthusiast community who share a common thread – the passion of video games in whatever form in the Pacific Northwest region. PNW Gamers was designed simply to bring together all gamers to one central spot in order to communicate with one another, share our experiences in gaming, and to stick with the original concept of bringing fellow gamers together for discussion and gatherings.

Overview

PNW Riders is a free service and provides a place for gamers in the Pacific Northwest region to converge and communicate with other gamers in a fun, friendly, and intelligent atmosphere. However, due to the internet being what it is, we have some basic rules and guidelines for the people posting here. These rules and guidelines are intended to keep PNW Gamers focused on the original purpose: provide a fun, friendly, and intelligent atmosphere; create a respectable community for the people who come here; and prevent abuse of the community and the people who post here.

For the above reasons, all PNW Gamers posters are expected to abide by these rules. Posters failing to abide by the rules may be warned, infracted, or banned. Every time you post here, you accept the rules.

Moderators have jobs outside of this site and cannot possibly read every single post. If you see a post that violates the rules please use the report post button located on the bottom of each post.

PNW Gamers places a high value on respect for other people here, which is why we are very intolerant of people making personal attacks. While “talking trash” is part of the gaming culture there is a line, and if that line is crossed as determined by the staff, then a warning will be issued followed by infractions and banning if continued.

Due to the nature of this forum, ban times are usually determined by history and severity and are incremental in most cases.

Please remember that we cannot have a rule for everything, and because of unique situations or a few people who may abuse our forums or cause other problems (even if those are not listed in the rules), we reserve the right to react to these issues in a way of our choosing.

People who are disruptive to the PNW Gamers community in general and tend to contribute nothing but negativity and problems may be banned at an administrator’s discretion. It is our hope that we don’t have to do this that often.

Ultimately, PNW Gamers compliments the gaming community living in the Pacific Northwest region, and we hope everybody can respect what these forums are here for and the other individuals who are posting here.

Rules

1. Threatening of a serious nature is not allowed.
2. Provoking or baiting people just for the purpose of getting a negative reaction is not allowed.
3. Posting a thread with results, ending, or outcome is not allowed unless the word “spoiler” has been used somewhere in the thread title. (i.e. screen shots, movies, etc.)
4. Posting NWS images, links, and content is not allowed unless it’s in the Not Work Safe area which is available to subscription based members only.
5. User names and avatars containing vulgar, obscene, profane, or hate-based content is not allowed.
6. Material that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, racial and/or ethnic slurs; hateful content; or otherwise objectionable is not allowed.
7. Multiple user accounts are not allowed. All discoverable alternate user accounts will be banned as will the originating account.
8. Foul language in thread titles is not allowed.
9. Advertising your own business or organization is not allowed unless you are a Site Sponsor. Repeatedly advertising someone else’s business is also not allowed unless they are a Site Sponsor.

No Nonsense

We realize that abusive or unique situations will always come up, and we hold the right to deal with these situations as we see fit, regardless of whether we have a rule for it or not. Please do not think that because something is not stated in the rules, that this gives you a ticket to think up or create new ways to abuse our forum or its posters. This behavior will not be tolerated.

Advertising

Users are not allowed to advertise their business or organization in the following areas: thread titles, posts, avatars, profiles, profile pictures, and signatures.

Staff

Remember, the PNW Gamers Staff is made up of volunteers! The moderators and administrators are doing additional work and taking on an extra burden because they want to give back to the community and make the site better for everyone.

If you disagree with a moderator or administrator, please send them a private message with your disagreement or criticism. If you’re still not happy, voice your thoughts to an administrator.
